Company History

1980 Gary Dutton opened a retail showroom in Sutton-in-Ashfield.

1987 Synseal fabricated 1,000 frames a week to a nationwide customer base. Profile extruded to remain competitive.

1991 Glassex used to launch Synseal's first 65mm profile, Contour. The right product at the right time.

1991 The success achieved in fabrication meant Synseal began to compete directly with customers. The only solution was to pull out of direct sales completely in 1991.

1995 The fabrication business was sold to JBS Industries - and is still a strong business today.

1999 Synseal added the Shield window and door suite. A chamfered suite and 70mm front to back.

2001 More fabricators bought window profile from Synseal than any other systems supplier. After attaining the ranking of number 1 systems company in the UK, focus shifted to roof fabrication and on developing an easier roof to fabricate, install and to sell.

2002 The Shield roof was launched and in just nine months over 90 per cent of Synseal fabricators were using the Shield complete conservatory system. A year later global, the conservatory roof for all systems, was unleashed to these potential customers and the market.

2005 The innovative SynerJy profile was launched, the fully sculptured suite.

2006 Legend suite followed shortly afterwards

2010 The current focus is bringing cost-effective thermally efficient products to market. This is how the innovative 100% recycled reinforcements, 100% recycled Envirosill and 5 chambered profile systems came into existence. This gives customers a comprehensive choice of systems for all market requirements.

2011 Synseal announce New product ranges for 2011 including outward opening Bi-Fold doors, WER 'A' Rated Vertical Slider, Portal Frames.
