Spectacular K2 roof wins installation competition

Spectacular K2 roof wins installation competition

The Build Directory based in the North East has become the fourth winner of Synseal Group’s monthly installation competition which recognises transformative installations shared on social media.

The Build Directory are a family builder with an ethos for making quality and affordable homes available to the masses. They offer a bespoke design service for conservatories and orangeries helping customers to achieve all-year-round rooms with advanced glass solutions from the Celsius performance range. Their winning installation for Synseal’s October competition is a stunning K2 roof incorporated into a period style orangery using reclaimed brick to complement the rest of the barn conversion.

Alisdair Beveridge at The Build Directory said:

The homeowners Dan and Angela have just moved into this barn conversion with reclaimed brick construction, but there were issues with the old conservatory which was too small for their large garden and had a plastic roof with all the typical problems of being too cold in the winter and too warm in the summer.

We opened up the back wall from the kitchen and dining room and built a large orangery with matching reclaimed brick and a spectacular K2 roof with Celsius Elite solar control glass. Now the family can enjoy their garden views in a comfortable, temperate room in all seasons with lots more space.

Celsius Elite glass has been specifically designed for use in Synseal Group’s K2, Global and Stratus roof ranges with 78% heat reflection, expelling as much as three times more solar energy than standard glass (let alone the plastic of the predecessor roof!) with impressive U-values of just 0.9 W/m²K.

Synseal Group runs a monthly installation competition on social media, giving installers, fabricators and builders the opportunity to showcase their best projects. Past winners include Swadlincote Window Company for a modern Modena conservatory and WarmCore bi-fold doors, NW Rooftech for a high-end new build with black WarmCore windows, and Silika for two beautiful Masterdor Craftsman doors.

If you’ve got a great installation you’d like to share, just tag Synseal Group in your photos on Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn and you could win £50 in the monthly competition.
